Once built to house the nobles and its family while providing a strong defense against enemies, now the castles attract millions of visitors charmed by the Middle Ages. In most of the well preserved castles there are now museums. Don’t miss visiting the Tower of London, one of the most magnificent castles in England.

England is the birthplace of modern football (“soccer” for the Americans). It’s also the home of several important teams which, over the years, made an impression in the inter-club competitions. Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United or Liverpool all ring a bell for any football fan. Why not watch them play on their home stadiums while visiting England?

A very old Neolithic and Bronze Age monument, it was believed to be a place for human sacrifice but also an astronomical observatory, Stonehenge now attracts millions of visitors amazed by its grandeur. Visit it at sunset or sunrise for some spectacular views.
